Frank Gutowski, PMP, PCQI
Project Director and Integrity Manager
Frank has over 30 years of experience in the Engineering, Procurement & Construction of Domestic and International Oil & Gas Projects. His career began working for an EPC company predominately focused on a Lump Sum contracting strategy for the gas industry, as well as, conventional oil recovery. In a relatively short period of time, Frank made partner and was exposed daily to an environment where risk management and innovation were critical to executing successful projects. Following his tenure there, Frank worked as a Project Manager & Construction Manager for Producers in the Middle East, Asia & Europe, as well as Canada, in the gas, heavy oil and in-situ thermal industries (including SAGD, CSS & SC-SAGD). Frank remains active in several professional organizations and is participating in forward-thinking committees tackling current industry challenges. His dedication to quality, integrity and the core principles of good corporate governance (i.e. fairness, accountability, responsibility & transparency) is of paramount importance to both himself and CAPAC.

Principal Engineer & Project Services Manager
Wally has over 30 of experience in the oil and gas engineering and construction industry; mainly in capital cost estimating but he also possesses extensive experience in scheduling, cost control and project coordination. Wally has achieved professional accreditation in estimating through AACE’s certification program (Certified Cost Engineer) and has served on the AACE – International Board of Directors, VP 1998-2000; International Board of Directors, Directors for Canada, 1994-1996; Section President, 1991-1992; Board of Directors 1988-2006.
Chris Graham B.Sc.
SAGD Specialist & CSU Coordinator
Chris has over 30 years of combined extensive experience in both operations and the chemical industry. He possesses a tremendous amount of expertise in process optimization of enhanced oil recovery facilities. He is is recognized for the ability to assess and troubleshoot mechanical separation equipment, ion exchangers, chemical programs and implementing Operational Best Practices. Chris specialize in optimizing plant operations, chemical selection and technical applications. He is focused on maximizing production, operational cost reduction and continuous improvement planning. He can provide debottlenecking solutions, commissioning & start-up support and operations training. CAPAC’s goal is to ensure the optimal performance of your equipment and chemical programs to meet the industry standards in custody transfer for both oil to pipeline and de-oiled water to boiler feed water pre-treatment.
Patrick Lean
Lead Designer
Patrick is a senior piping designer with 20 years of varied experience in oil and gas. He spent the first 8 years of his career on the construction side working on pipelines, facilities and in fabrication shops. He was a crew foreman, completing the final year of his welding apprenticeship when a motorcycle accident forced a career path change to the engineering side of the business. His 8 years of hands on construction experience, combined with over 10 years of design experience in both engineering and fabrication environments, have provided him a unique skill set in the design industry which he applies to projects creating efficient, cost effective and easy to build designs.
Mike McGilvery
Design, Drafting Manager
Mike has over 25 years of drafting, design and project coordinating experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He is responsible for coordinating and managing all technical and administrative tasks required to complete project designs. He ensures that all designs safe, operable, fit for purpose, on budget, on schedule and met regulatory standards. He has extensive on-site planning, construction support and interdisciplinary management skills which include project scoping, FEED studies, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, detailed design and manpower management. He has managed drafting operations (up to 60 personnel) and served as a client liaison for a multitude of projects varying in scope and size for over the last 10 years.
